Recap: Richlands Wildcats vs. Heide Trask Titans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southwest Onslow, the Richlands Wildcats were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Heide Trask with a sharp 50-26 victory. Given Richlands' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Heide Trask is ranked 427th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Richlands to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tashi Allen, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Mia Wells was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
Richlands' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Heide Trask, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Richlands won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pender at 6:00 p.m. on December 6th. As for Heide Trask, they will be playing at home against North Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
