Basketball Recap: Miller County's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calhoun County, Miller County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Quitman County Hornets out 67-65. The victory was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Miller County's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-12. As for Quitman County, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Miller County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-53 defeat against Pelham on the 1st. Quitman County has also already played their next game, a 97-68 loss against Terrell County on the 1st.
