Football Game Preview: Basehor-Linwood Bobcats vs. Leavenworth PIONEERS + How To Watch

Basehor-Linwood has gone 7-1 against Leavenworth recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bobcats will square off against the PIONEERS at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Basehor-Linwood comes in on ten and Leavenworth on nine.

Basehor-Linwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against De Soto by a score of 35-28.

Basehor-Linwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Mitchell, who rushed for 166 yards and two scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Those 166 rushing yards gave Mitchell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carson Dixon, who rushed for 85 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Basehor-Linwood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 285 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 163 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Noah Gutierrez, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Leavenworth strolled past Blue Valley North with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-21.

Basehor-Linwood's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Leavenworth, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
