Basketball Recap: El Capitan Wins Going Away Against San Ysidro + How To Watch

El Capitan won the last time they faced San Ysidro and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vaqueros took down the Cougars 49-32.

Trevin Curo went supernova, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 22 boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in November of 2024. Jason Wilson was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to six assists and five boards.

El Capitan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

El Capitan now has a winning record of 2-1. As for San Ysidro, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Capitan will challenge Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
