Softball Recap: Altoona Comes Up Short

If Altoona was feeling good fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Osceola last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Railroaders fell 11-6 to the Prescott Cardinals on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Railroaders of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Altoona's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Prescott, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

While Altoona had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
