Northwest Guilford never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Providence Grove Patriots with a sharp 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Hunter Tilley, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Providence Grove off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gram Kerley, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Gentrup, who scored a run while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Kerley wasn't the only one making solid contact: Northwest Guilford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Vikings are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Northwest Guilford is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Providence Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Northwest Guilford will face off against Dudley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Providence Grove, they will challenge Southeast Guilford at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
