Baseball Recap: Mount Miguel Takes a Loss

Mount Miguel lost against San Diego back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Mount Miguel came up short against San Diego, falling 12-2. The Matadors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Angel Delgado made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Mount Miguel hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive contests.

Mount Miguel's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for San Diego, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Mount Miguel will square off against Canyon Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for San Diego, they will head out to challenge University City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
