Basketball Recap: Mid Peninsula Comes Up Short

Mid Peninsula was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Engadine Eagles. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Mid Peninsula's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Engadine, their win ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-12.

Looking ahead, Mid Peninsula will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Big Bay de Noc at 6:00 p.m. As for Engadine, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-34 defeat against Newberry on the 7th.
