Volleyball Recap: Leyton Takes a Loss

Leyton lost against Minatare on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1.

Despite the defeat, Leyton saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kennedy Roelle had 28 digs and two assists. Those 28 digs set a new season-high mark for Roelle.

Leyton has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Minatare, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-14 record this season.

Leyton has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Banner County on the 18th. As for Minatare, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Bayard on the 18th.
