Soccer Game Preview: Kathleen vs. Mulberry

Kathleen and Mulberry are an even 4-4 against one another since November of 2014, but likely not for long. The Kathleen Red Devils will face off against the Mulberry Panthers at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Kathleen turned things around against Angeline Academy of Innovation back in December of 2024. Neither they nor the Archers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils as the squad haven't won a game since December 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, Mulberry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against George Jenkins, falling 7-1. The contest was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for the Panthers it sure didn't stay that way.

Kathleen's draw gives them a new season record of 2-10-1. As for Mulberry, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9-1.

Kathleen beat Mulberry by a goal when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 2-1. Will Kathleen repeat their success, or does Mulberry have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
