Baseball Recap: Coronado Dons vs. Tempe Buffaloes
Coronado had to endure a 12-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Tempe Buffaloes 22-6. Coronado's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Alexander Bustamante was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off one hit. Bustamante was even better at the plate, scoring four runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Naem Pacheco was incredible, going 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and a triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Fierro, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
Coronado's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13. As for Tempe, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12.
