Football Game Preview: Rapid City Central Cobblers vs. Lincoln Patriots

Rapid City Central is 1-9 against Lincoln since August of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cobblers will venture away from home to face off against the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Rapid City Central barely beat Stevens the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cobblers blew past the Raiders 36-6 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cobblers as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Lincoln faced Harrisburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Patriots came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 56-49. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Rapid City Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.

Rapid City Central was dealt a bruising 55-28 loss at the hands of Lincoln in their previous matchup on October 10th. Can the Cobblers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
