Basketball Game Preview: Noblesville Millers vs. Hamilton Southeastern Royals

The Noblesville Millers will head out to challenge the Hamilton Southeastern Royals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Noblesville has six straight wins, Hamilton Southeastern has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Noblesville beat Franklin Central 51-44. Given the Millers' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Flashes are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hamilton Southeastern came up short against Mt. Vernon on Saturday and fell 53-43.

Noblesville will have to keep a close watch on Braeden Totton and Landon Osswald, a pair of players who had a big impact on Hamilton Southeastern's prior game. Totton went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points and five rebounds, while Osswald went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Jack Jacobs, who posted seven points.

Noblesville is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Noblesville beat Hamilton Southeastern 57-50 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Noblesville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
