Football Recap: Bishop McGuinness Villains vs. South Davidson Wildcats
Bishop McGuinness had won five straight at home, but on Friday they bumped up to 9-1 to make it six. They strolled past the South Davidson Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 35-16. The Villains pushed the score to 28-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Tristan Styers was his usual excellent self, rushing for eight yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 178 yards on only 16 passes. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September.
Having lost for the first time this season, South Davidson fell to 9-1. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this game were averaging 8.1 points allowed.
When it comes to explaining why South Davidson lost, don't look at Gage Underwood. Despite the final result, he rushed for 101 yards and two scores on only 11 carries. Underwood's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.
