Basketball Recap: North Tampa Christian Academy Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

On Monday, the North Tampa Christian Academy Titans beat the Miramar Patriots 54-42.

It was another big night for Toni Bryant, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, 13 boards, and ten blocks. The matchup was his 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

North Tampa Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Miramar only pulled down eight offensive boards.

Miramar's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Martell Smith, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Smith a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Siah Blot, who posted 13 points and five boards.

North Tampa Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Miramar, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

North Tampa Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-49 victory against The First Academy on the 25th. Miramar has also already played their next match, an 86-38 win against Flanagan on the 23rd.
