Football Recap: Bloom-Carroll Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Bloom-Carroll couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 31-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Licking Valley Panthers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Panthers are ranked 42nd).

Bloom-Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Licking Valley, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Bloom-Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Licking Valley, they will face off against Steubenville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Big Red will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
