Basketball Recap: Mamie Hill's Big Game Can't Quite Lead East Henderson over Franklin

East Henderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 62-39 to the Franklin Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-51 back in December of 2024.

East Henderson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mamie Hill, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 11 points and six steals. Hill has been hot recently, having posted five or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayden Henderson, who posted ten points.

Franklin can attribute much of their success to Mckenna Plemmons, who had 19 points. Katelyn Foster was another key player, putting up ten points.

East Henderson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Franklin, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

East Henderson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-38 loss against West Henderson on the 24th. Franklin has also already played their next matchup, a 52-41 victory against Tuscola on the 24th.
