Recap: Holy Family Tigers vs. Longmont Trojans
The Holy Family Tigers stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Longmont 57-28 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Holy Family as they're now sitting on six straight.
Holy Family's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Essynce Contreraz, who scored ten points along with five steals. Contreraz has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gracie Ward, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Holy Family pushed their record up to 18-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Longmont, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
Holy Family will be playing in front of their home fans against Mead at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mead will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Holy Family surely won't give up without a fight. As for Longmont, they will be playing at home against Greeley West at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Greeley West and four for Longmont.
