Basketball Recap: North Marion Falls Despite Big Games from JERMEA JACKSON and JAMEYA BROWN

If North Marion was feeling good fresh off their 60-21 takedown of Santa Fe last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Marion Colts'2024 ended with a 65-46 defeat against the Trenton Tigers on Sunday.

North Marion's loss came despite strong showings from JAMEYA BROWN and JERMEA JACKSON. BROWN posted 27 points and seven boards, while JACKSON almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave BROWN a new career-high in points.

North Marion's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Trenton, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

North Marion and Trenton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. North Marion (ranked 253rd) will meet Keystone Heights (ranked 544th) at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Meanwhile, Trenton (ranked 146th) will meet Bell (ranked 451st) at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
