In what's become a running theme this season, the Blair Bears gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They put the hurt on Concordia with a sharp 58-33 win. The win was some much needed relief for Blair as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Blair can attribute much of their success to Addie Sullivan, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Kate Wulf, who scored ten points.

Despite the loss, Concordia saw an underclassman step up: Charis Hughes scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Samuelson, who scored five points.

Concordia's lineup was just a bit different on Thursday as Samuelson got a bit more time on the court (16 vs. her season average of 8.05). Samuelson made the most of the opportunity, scoring five points. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

Blair's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10. As for Concordia, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost 14 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.

Blair will be playing in front of their home fans against Roncalli Catholic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Roncalli Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday. As for Concordia, they will head out on the road to square off against Douglas County West at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Concordia is coming into the contest with 19 straight losses on the road, meaning Douglas County West will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
