Volleyball Recap: Jamie Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Menlo School over Harbor + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Menlo School can now relate to. They fell just short of the Harbor Pirates by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Menlo School sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 19-25, 25-22, 24-26, 15-12.

Menlo School's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamie Johnson, who had 12 digs and eight aces. Johnson has been hot for a while, having posted two or more aces the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Yu, who had seven digs and three aces.

Menlo School's defeat dropped their record down to 13-18. As for Harbor, they pushed their record up to 24-10 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

Menlo School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harbor, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Scotts Valley on the 8th.
