Basketball Recap: Wayne Christian Gets the Win + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wayne Country Day, Wayne Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They managed a 55-50 win over the Thales Academy Rolesville Knights. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 76-68 loss the last time these two teams met.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hunter Steffen, who posted six points and 15 boards. Steffen is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Coleman Richman, who scored 13 points and six rebounds.

Wayne Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Wayne Christian and Epiphany will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southern Wake Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
