Volleyball Recap: Florin Takes a Loss

Florin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fairfield Falcons. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Florin started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 17-25, 25-15, 26-24, 16-14.

Their offense was headlined by Lovely Thao and Divya Sharma, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Jesse Lee and her three assists. Sharma was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Florin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Fairfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

As of now, neither Florin nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
