Softball Game Preview: Bandys Trojans vs. Walkertown Wolfpack

The Bandys Trojans will face off against the Walkertown Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Bandys has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while Walkertown will arrive with five straight victories.

Bandys lost 10-4 to Foard on Friday.

Meanwhile, Walkertown earned a 10-7 win over South Stokes on Thursday.

Macy Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. Miller was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aliviah Bateman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Sadie Smith, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Walkertown hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive games.

Walkertown's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Bandys, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
