Softball Recap: Tucumcari Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Tucumcari waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on Non Varsity Opponent with a sharp 22-5 win. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 19-4 win on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Riley Knapp, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, five stolen bases, and four runs. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Maaja Anaya was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.

Tucumcari kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.
