Football Recap: Greyson Studer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Conemaugh Township over Cambria Heights + How To Watch

Conemaugh Township lost against Cambria Heights back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indians took a 34-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlanders.

Conemaugh Township's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Greyson Studer, who threw for 129 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 83 yards. Studer's passing game has become a key predictor of the Indians' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise. Brennan Lohr also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Cambria Heights' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nolan Clawson led the charge by rushing for 102 yards and two scores on only 13 carries, while also picking up 59 receiving yards and one TD. Clawson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending one pass. Dawson Warner also helped out as he racked up 127 rushing yards.

Conemaugh Township's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Cambria Heights, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Meanwhile, Cambria Heights will face off against rival Homer-Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Highlanders 12.5, the Wildcats 13.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
