Del Norte won the last time they faced Mt. Carmel and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Nighthawks narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Sundevils 7-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Nighthawks.

The team relied heavily on Alexis Kyles, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Khloe Florez also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Del Norte hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five strikeouts batters in three consecutive matches.

Del Norte's record is now 8-6-1. As for Mt. Carmel, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Del Norte will take on Carlsbad at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Carmel, they will face off against Granite Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
