Basketball Recap: Grayson Williams Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Valley

Legacy won against Sunrise Mountain on Tuesday with 82 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Longhorns put the hurt on the Valley Vikings with a sharp 82-60 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Longhorns also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Legacy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grayson Williams, who posted 21 points. Those 21 points gave Williams a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Perdue, who scored 18 points.

Legacy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 82.0 points this season. As for Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Legacy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sierra Vista at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley, they will head out to challenge Durango at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
