Lincoln High had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 73-66 to the Blue Springs Wildcats. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Lincoln High lost, don't look at Brady Nick. Despite the final result, he went 10-for-13 en route to 31 points and eight boards. The matchup was Nick's third in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Deveraux Sanders, who posted seven points and nine rebounds.

Lincoln High has already played their next game, a 61-54 victory against Grain Valley on the 5th. As for Blue Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-49 defeat against Pius X on the 5th.
