Basketball Recap: Veritas Academy Starts off Right with Win over Providence Catholic

Veritas Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They breezed past the Providence Catholic Provets to the tune of 56-16. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-2.

Providence Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Veritas Academy will take on Faith Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Providence Catholic, they have already played their next game, a 51-11 loss against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo on the 13th.
