Football Game Preview: Greer Yellow Jackets vs. Camden Bulldogs

The Greer Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to take on the Camden Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greer has given up an average of 28.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Greer is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Daniel on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Yellow Jackets lost 33-7 to the Lions. The contest marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Camden faced A.C. Flora in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell 40-28 to the Falcons.

Greer will need to focus on slowing down Greyson Rimpf, one of several Camden players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt. Rimpf's passing game has become a key predictor of Camden's success: the team is 6-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. The Bulldogs also got a significant boost from Navier Boykin, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Greer and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Camden, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
