Madison West had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they bumped up to 16-9 to make it six. They blew past the Burlington Demons 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

As for Burlington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since October 3, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Burlington lost, don't look at Lucas Roanhouse. Despite the final result, he had eight digs and two aces.

Coming up, Madison West will square off against Madison Country Day at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Burlington, after both having extra time off, they and Indian Trail will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
