Volleyball Recap: School of the Ozarks Takes a Loss

School of the Ozarks suffered their biggest defeat since October 8, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the New Covenant Academy Warriors. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-7, 25-8.

School of the Ozarks' offense was headlined by Bennett Houston and Leah Gates, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Lulu Robbins and her seven assists. Katie Strathman controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

New Covenant Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jenna Jackson out in front who had seven digs and one assist. That's the most digs Jackson has posted over her last two matches.

The defeat snapped School of the Ozarks' winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 15-5-3 record. As for New Covenant Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3-3 record this season.

School of the Ozarks has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Spokane on the 3rd. As for New Covenant Academy, they will take on Miller at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
