Basketball Recap: Milford Christian Takes a Loss

Milford Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Granite Baptist Academy Guardians 67-23. The Conquerors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

Despite the loss, Milford Christian still got an impressive performance from Jonah Johnson, who posted seven points and 12 rebounds. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Granite Baptist Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Groves out in front who had 21 points. Granite Baptist Academy is 3-1 when Groves posts 15 or more points, but 2-5 otherwise. Tristen Rawlings was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Milford Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Granite Baptist Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milford Christian will face off against Calvary Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Granite Baptist Academy, they will square off against Woodlawn Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
