Baseball Recap: Tamalpais Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Tamalpais never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Terra Linda Trojans. The result was nothing new for the Red Tailed Hawks, who have now won five matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Eli Solem, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Terra Linda off the board. Solem has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tito Fierstein was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Henry Stoll, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Tamalpais has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Terra Linda, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Tamalpais has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against De Anza on the 29th. As for Terra Linda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 9-5 defeat against Archie Williams on the 2nd.
