Basketball Recap: Notre Dame's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Attica wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Notre Dame, they should've done a better job of containing Sofia Falleti. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish were the clear victor by a 44-23 margin over the Attica Blue Devils on Thursday thanks in part to Falleti, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Penny Thompson was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

The victory made it two in a row for Notre Dame and bumps their season record up to 8-4. As for Attica, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Notre Dame has already played their next contest (against Holley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Attica will head out to challenge Le Roy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
