Recap: T.C. Roberson Rams vs. A.C. Reynolds Rockets
It was a good run, but The T.C. Roberson Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a tough 28-7 loss at the hands of A.C. Reynolds. Despite 80 more yards than A.C. Reynolds, T.C. Roberson couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Despite the loss, T.C. Roberson still got an impressive performance from Lex Dinwiddie, who rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown. Dinwiddie is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead A.C. Reynolds to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyvon Patterson, who rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Hayden Craig was another key contributor, throwing for 146 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
T.C. Roberson's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for A.C. Reynolds, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. T.C. Roberson will take on Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 249th, while T.C. Roberson is ranked 74th). As for A.C. Reynolds, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against McDowell at 7:00 p.m.
