Football Game Preview: Newton South Lions vs. Sharon Eagles

The Newton South Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Sharon Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Newton South duked it out with Weston on Friday. The Lions took a hard 24-7 fall against the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Sharon took a blow against Archbishop Williams on Friday, falling 54-15. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Bishops are ranked 77th).

Even if they lost, Sharon's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Brayden Salkin was the leader with two.

Newton South's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Sharon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
