Pope John Paul II extended their road winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Osby Cavin. The Knights simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the LaVergne Wolverines 80-49 thanks in part to Cavin, who shot 55% from beyond the arc on his way to 33 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 48% shooting accuracy.

Trey Pearson was another key player, putting up five points along with 14 assists and six boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 14 games he's played dating back to last season.

Pope John Paul II's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for LaVergne, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Pope John Paul II will host Chattanooga Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Sentinels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 70.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for LaVergne, they will head out on the road to challenge East Nashville Magnet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
