On Thursday, it was close, but Garrett Memorial Christian sidestepped Mountain Home Christian Academy for a 45-42 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Garrett Memorial Christian.
Garrett Memorial Christian was led to victory by Mikayla Fields and Gracy Martin. Fields scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, while Martin scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Laikyn Mitchell, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Garrett Memorial Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Mountain Home Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Garrett Memorial Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Legacy Academy at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th. Legacy Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Garrett Memorial Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Mountain Home Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
