Basketball Recap: Walnut Takes a Loss

Walnut managed to slip by Damien the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs were dealt a 71-29 loss at the hands of the Spartans on Wednesday. The matchup marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Walnut's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Damien, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Walnut is taking a road trip to challenge El Segundo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Damien, they will take on Lake City in a tournament on the 11th.
