Softball Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss

Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-1 to the Master's Academy Patriots. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 24-4 to the Patriots when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Westwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henryunia Plain, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-2. Plain is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Master's Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westwood will face off against Treasure Coast at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Master's Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Port St. Lucie at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
