Football Recap: Orting's Rushing Attack Does It Again + How To Watch

Orting got themselves on the board against East Valley on Saturday, but East Valley never followed suit. They really took it to the Knights for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-0 victory. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Knights are ranked 153rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orting to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson McCall, who rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also caught one TD. McCall's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards. Israel Shrode was another major influence, as he rushed for 104 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Orting was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 326 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 160 rushing yards in 17 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Orting pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 43.6 points this season. As for East Valley, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.
