Football Recap: Eli Brennan Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Burley + How To Watch

Emmett won the last time they faced Burley and things went their way on Friday too. The Huskies blew past the Bobcats 42-20.

Emmett got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eli Brennan out in front who rushed for 106 yards and two scores on only 12 carries, and also threw for 57 yards and one touchdown. Nessen Korell helped out on the ground, rushing for 131 yards.

Despite the loss, Burley still got an impressive performance from Noah Rowe, who picked up 49 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 37 yards and one score.

Emmett now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Burley, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Emmett has already played their next matchup, a 27-26 victory against Ridgevue on the 12th. As for Burley, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Preston at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
