Basketball Game Preview: Whiteland Warriors vs. Indian Creek Braves

The Whiteland Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Indian Creek Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Whiteland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Whiteland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They snuck past Martinsville with a 53-47 win on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Indian Creek waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Clovers 64-24. Given the Braves' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Clovers are ranked 368th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Indian Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Whiteland, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7.

Whiteland took a serious blow against Indian Creek in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 74-34. Can Whiteland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
