Softball Recap: Lake Orion Takes a Loss

If Lake Orion was feeling good fresh off their 13-5 takedown of Woodhaven on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dragons fell just short of the Dakota Cougars by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Lake Orion's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Dakota, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Lake Orion will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Brandon at 4:30 p.m. As for Dakota, they will head out on the road to face off against Utica Ford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season.
