Basketball Recap: Johnson City Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Johnson City, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 54-39 win over the Long Creek Dragons on Tuesday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Dragons are ranked 1085th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Johnson City is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which somehow still isn't as good as their 22-5 record this season. As for Long Creek, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
