Village Christian had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Maranatha on Tuesday. The Crusaders were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Minutemen. The Crusaders not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 24th (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15, 25-15.

Leading Village Christian to victory were Talia Mardrussian and Izzy Aragon. Mardrussian had seven digs and four aces, while Aragon had ten digs and two assists. That's the most aces Mardrussian has posted over her last eight contests.

They weren't the only good servers: Village Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They are 7-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Village Christian's record is now 15-16. As for Maranatha, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.

Coincidentally, Village Christian and Maranatha will both be playing Whittier Christian the next time they take the court. The Minutemen will host the Heralds at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Crusaders will host them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
