Volleyball Recap: St. Dominic Beats Lutheran for Their Third Straight Win

St. Dominic entered their tilt with Lutheran on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Cougars 3-0. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

St. Dominic was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 25-21.

St. Dominic can attribute much of their success to Addison Burroughs, who had four digs and two aces.

Burroughs wasn't the only good server: St. Dominic was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

St. Dominic's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lutheran, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

St. Dominic has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Nerinx Hall on the 8th. As for Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Howell on the 9th.
