Providence entered their tilt with Christian Academy on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They slipped by the Christian Academy Warriors 45-44. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Renfro, who went 8 of 16 en route to 20 points. Another player making a difference was David Cook, who posted 14 points.

Providence's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Christian Academy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Providence will welcome Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 64-36 victory against Borden on the 1st.
